Mass has been celebrated on the site where St Stephens Church now stands since the 1920's. On Sunday January 6th 2008 it was announced that there will be no more Sunday Mass in Rossan after Sunday 13th January 2008. This came in a letter from Bishop Colm O'Reilly, Ardagh and Clonmacnoise.
On Sunday January 20th a large number of people attended Rosary and prayers in Rossan Church at the traditional time of 9.30am. This gathering will continue each Sunday.
This web site is being developed to give people a chance to remember our church. I am adding a guest book for people to write their memories. I know that people are very annoyed at the loss of Sunday mass as this means the inevitable closure of the church. I would ask that comments that may offend anyone not be published.
